Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for AI optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum-computing solutions for real-world applications
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for scalable quantum neural networks
- Author breakthrough research papers for top-tier publications (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical implementations using Qiskit/IBM Quantum Experience
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives across the organization
- Secure $5M+ in government and private quantum computing grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing environments
- Strong understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence principles
- Proven track record of securing research funding or patents
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
