Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure during night shifts to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Perform proactive maintenance, patch management, and security updates on firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Respond to critical incidents and escalations in real-time to minimize service disruption.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to document changes, conduct post-mortems, and improve operational procedures.
- Conduct network audits and capacity planning to support future business growth.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or System Administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco (IOS/Junos) and Check Point/Fortinet firewalls.
- Experience with scripting (Python or PowerShell) for automation and monitoring.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM).
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
