Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for cohesive care plans
- Document patient assessments and progress accurately in EMR systems
- Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage
- Weekend shift availability mandatory
