Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekend patient intake and appointment scheduling
- Manage patient records and electronic health documentation
- Assist with clinical procedures under provider supervision
- Handle patient inquiries and triage urgent weekend care needs
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Process insurance verifications and billing documentation
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and nursing staff
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical or administrative healthcare experience
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced weekend environments
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
