Responsibilities
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and patient assessments
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care management
- Manage patient flow and documentation in EMR systems
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care or ER setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure weekend environments
- Valid Florida MA license
- Spanish bilingual a plus
