Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during weekend shifts in fast-paced urgent care setting
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate patient records using advanced EHR systems
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or emergency setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- NYC state license in good standing
