Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and staff assignments in 24-bed acute care unit
- Mentor and develop nursing staff through continuous training programs
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and state healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient care protocols
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation efficiently
- Respond to emergent situations with decisive clinical leadership
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 5 years clinical experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- 2+ years supervisory/charge nurse experience in acute care setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proven experience with Epic EHR systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-pressure clinical teams
- Strong conflict resolution and staff development skills
