Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies
- Monitor hemodynamic parameters and patient responses during interventional procedures
- Administer conscious sedation and emergency medications per protocol
- Document critical procedural events and patient outcomes in electronic health records
- Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
- Provide patient education on post-procedure care and medication management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team during emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Kansas RN license with minimum 2 years ICU/ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Cardiac Cath Lab certification (RCIS or RCIS-eligible) preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and arterial line management
- Strong critical thinking skills for rapid intervention scenarios
- Ability to work rotating weekends and on-call shifts
- Excellent communication skills for patient/family education
- Proficient in EPIC EMR system
