Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs and basic diagnostic tests
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Handle front desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR software and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
