Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake assessments and vital sign monitoring during overnight shifts
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Administer medications and injections following strict protocols
- Coordinate patient care between departments during night-time emergencies
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment for overnight operations
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare setting
- Valid CPR/BLS certification with ability to maintain
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
