Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections per protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and phone triage
- Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong venipuncture and EKG skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently on weekends
- Basic computer proficiency in EMR systems
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Texas state license or eligibility
