Responsibilities
- Execute the full recruitment lifecycle (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing) for technical roles including Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps professionals.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and professional networking to build a robust pipeline of passive candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to translate business requirements into compelling job descriptions and interview rubrics.
- Conduct comprehensive phone screens and technical interviews to assess hard and soft skills, cultural fit, and long-term potential.
- Negotiate offers, coordinate background checks, and manage the onboarding process to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Track and report on key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire) to continuously improve recruitment processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in technical recruiting (Software/IT focus).
- Demonstrated success in closing hard-to-fill technical positions and managing high-volume requisitions.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday.
- Strong network of engineering professionals within the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
