Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Strategic Horizon Map identifying emerging technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional scenario-planning initiatives for AI, biotech, and climate resilience domains
- Produce executive-grade foresight reports with quantitative and qualitative predictive models
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Design and implement Horizon's 'Anticipatory Innovation Framework' for new market entry
- Present strategic briefings to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor a team of junior futurists and academic interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field with 8+ years of applied foresight experience
- Proven track record of published trend analyses in top-tier journals (e.g., Futures, Technological Forecasting)
- Mastery of strategic foresight methodologies: Delphi, Horizon Scanning, and Cross-Impact Matrix
- Expertise in quantitative modeling (Python/R) and scenario planning software (e.g., Causal Mapping)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies: AGI, synthetic biology, and quantum computing
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex futures into actionable strategies
- Experience advising Fortune 500 C-suite on long-term transformational strategies
