Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and quantum hardware validation systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototype development
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with leading academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published work in quantum information science or top-tier computational journals
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Passion for ethical quantum technology development and deployment
