Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, patching, and configuration of servers, storage arrays, and network devices during the night shift.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health, performance metrics, and security alerts to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Incident Response: Lead the diagnosis and resolution of critical technical incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python/Bash) to streamline nightly processes and reduce manual workload.
- Backup & Recovery: Execute and verify data backups, ensuring data integrity and successful disaster recovery procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar technical role.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or VMware VCP preferred.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams and document complex processes.
