Our ideal candidate will operate from our San Francisco hub, collaborating with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams to identify paradigm shifts, mitigate disruption risks, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. You'll leverage proprietary Horizon Scan™ methodologies to deliver actionable insights that drive billion-dollar decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multi-year strategic foresight frameworks focused on 2026+ technology and societal trends
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives across AI, biotech, climate tech, and human augmentation domains
- Produce executive-ready trend reports and scenario-planning models for board-level decision-making
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight insights into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Design and facilitate futures-thinking workshops with global stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze geopolitical, economic, and technological signals for early disruption detection
- Establish KPIs to track strategic foresight ROI and impact on business outcomes
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning techniques
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with experience presenting to C-suite audiences
- Published thought leadership in foresight or strategic planning publications
- Portfolio demonstrating successful trend-to-strategy translation
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies preferred
