Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype 2026-viable products and services
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings for executive board on emerging tech disruptions (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Design and implement future-proofing methodologies for organizational resilience
- Establish global partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and innovation hubs
- Mentor next-generation futurists through Horizon's Future Leaders program
- Author thought leadership content on exponential technologies and societal impact
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in strategic planning or innovation leadership at Fortune 500 or scale-up
- Proven expertise in technology forecasting and scenario modeling methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, Web3, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders and investor audiences
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or strategic innovation frameworks
- Published research or portfolio on emerging market disruptions (2018-2023)
- Experience leading remote global teams across 3+ time zones
