Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive forces across technology, society, and markets through 2026
- Develop and implement strategic innovation frameworks that position the company at the forefront of emerging industries
- Chair executive foresight workshops and scenario-planning sessions to prepare for future uncertainties
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and futurist communities
- Create compelling future-state narratives that inspire organizational alignment and investment decisions
- Oversee the innovation pipeline from ideation to market-ready concept validation
- Mentor a high-performing team of futurists and innovation strategists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or foresight leadership with Fortune 500/tech unicorn experience
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into billion-dollar market opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning, systems thinking, and disruptive technology forecasting
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to articulate complex future scenarios to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published author or keynote speaker on innovation, technology disruption, or future trends
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis, horizon scanning)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful strategic transformations implemented through 2026 planning
