Responsibilities
- Develop and publish the 2026 Technology Impact Report, analyzing disruptive trends across AI, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenarios' workshops with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and venture partners
- Design and prototype 2026-era solutions using rapid innovation methodologies (Design Thinking, Speculative Design)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT Media Lab, Singularity University) and frontier tech startups
- Present visionary roadmaps to investors, board members, and industry conferences
- Mentor junior futurists and curate the annual 'Horizons Summit' thought leadership event
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation consulting, or futures research with Fortune 500 or venture-backed startups
- Proven track record of forecasting technology adoption (e.g., predicted AI/quantum/compute shifts)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ futuristic projects successfully commercialized or scaled
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (synthetic biology, neurotech, fusion energy)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into actionable strategies
