Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology
- Lead strategic partnerships with startups and research institutions to identify disruptive innovations
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for technological disruptions through 2030
- Translate future-state visions into actionable implementation plans with measurable KPIs
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Mentor cross-functional teams on emerging technology adoption and change management
- Author thought leadership publications and industry whitepapers
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, blockchain, AR/VR, biotech)
- Proven track record of implementing future-state technology solutions
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech specialization
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Published thought leadership or patents in emerging technology fields
- Certification in strategic planning or technology management preferred
