Responsibilities
- Manage multi-line phone system with exceptional call handling and transfer protocols
- Coordinate patient scheduling and registration with accuracy and efficiency
- Process insurance verifications and maintain detailed patient records
- Oversee reception area cleanliness, supplies, and equipment functionality
- Assist with patient inquiries regarding services, billing, and policies
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Implement HIPAA compliance procedures for all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years receptionist or front desk experience in healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical software (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) preferred
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume environments
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
