We are seeking a visionary Director of Future Tech Strategy to spearhead our initiatives leading into the year 2026. You will be responsible for identifying emerging trends in AI, quantum computing, and sustainable tech to ensure our products remain at the cutting edge.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategic vision and actionable R&D execution. You will work closely with C-suite executives and engineering leads to define the roadmap that defines our success in the 2026 market cycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate the 2026 Technology Roadmap, aligning long-term innovation with core business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in exploring breakthrough technologies such as Generative AI, Blockchain, and AR/VR.
- Conduct rigorous market analysis to forecast technological shifts expected by 2026.
- Manage a multi-million dollar innovation budget to fund pilot programs and experimental tech.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to navigate the ethical implications of future tech.
- Oversee the integration of futuristic tech into existing product ecosystems to drive scalability.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic technology management, product development, or engineering leadership.
- Proven experience leading innovation initiatives with a clear focus on long-term horizons (5+ years).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape leading up to 2026.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets in excess of $5M annually.
