Responsibilities
- Analyze and synthesize emerging global trends across technology, geopolitics, and consumer behavior to inform strategic planning through 2026
- Develop and maintain the organization's 2026 strategic foresight framework, including horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into actionable business roadmaps
- Author thought leadership content (reports, whitepapers, keynotes) establishing our industry authority
- Partner with product and engineering teams to embed future-readiness into innovation pipelines
- Monitor and quantify the impact of megatrends on market positioning and competitive advantage
- Build and manage an external network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Business Strategy, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role at Fortune 500 or tech scale-up
- Proven track record of translating complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal shifts
- Exceptional storytelling ability with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in strategic forespace or business futurism
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5-10 year strategic foresight initiatives
