Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance backend systems using microservices architecture
- Mentor 3-5 junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Lead cloud migration projects on AWS with CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Contribute to open-source projects and stay current with emerging technologies
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and lead architectural decision-making
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java preferred)
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong background in relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Proven track record of leading agile development teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (Pytest, JUnit) and TDD methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document complex systems
