Job Overview:
The Night Shift IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining system integrity, monitoring network traffic, and providing technical assistance to employees during non-business hours. You will play a critical role in ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Monitor server performance, network traffic, and security alerts throughout the night shift.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support via phone and ticketing systems for end-users.
- Perform routine system backups, patches, and updates outside of peak hours.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Document all incidents and resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to hand over critical issues and updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, or Network Administration.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Active Directory environments.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting networking hardware and connectivity issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Clear communication skills and a professional demeanor.
