Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for the 2026 Horizon AI Initiative, aligning with company strategic goals.
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for machine learning tasks, specifically focusing on variational quantum eigensolvers.
- Lead a high-performing team of quantum physicists and software engineers to integrate quantum hardware into cloud-based AI platforms.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify high-impact research areas and secure funding for innovative projects.
- Mentor junior developers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and ethical use of advanced AI systems in production environments.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in AI/ML architecture and quantum computing research.
- Deep expertise in Python, C++, and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Qiskit.
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong understanding of quantum error correction, noise mitigation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
