Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Oversee the health and performance of servers, databases, and cloud environments during night shifts to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Maintain and optimize our Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve critical technical issues that arise during off-hours with minimal supervision.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Python or Bash scripts to automate routine maintenance tasks and reduce manual workload.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct nightly vulnerability scans on production systems.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the day-shift engineering team to document issues and transfer knowledge for seamless handovers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Cloud Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC).
- Containerization: Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent military experience.
