Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and surgical services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Utilize advanced clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EPIC) and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Lead patient education initiatives and discharge planning for complex cases
- Participate in quality improvement projects and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to unit-based training programs
Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree with 2+ years of acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient/family interactions
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
