Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into AI frameworks
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum curriculum for internal training
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Validated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
