Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industrial applications
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Present research findings at international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years experience
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Track record of securing federal or corporate research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Clearance for government-level quantum security projects preferred
