Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private funding for experimental quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum applications
- US citizenship or active security clearance preferred
