Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-optimized software stacks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD projects
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published 10+ papers in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of developing production quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
