Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and coherence optimization
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into functional prototypes
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present innovations at global summits (World Economic Forum, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in machine learning applications for quantum systems
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum architectures
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
