Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance and healthcare
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DoD quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Advise C-suite on quantum adoption roadmaps for 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into prototypes
- Clearance for government-funded projects preferred
