Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Conduct theoretical research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to validate quantum processor performance
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum computing platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced research environments
