Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Secure government grants and industry partnerships for quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for post-2026 security infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published 10+ papers in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing NSF/DARPA grants or industry R&D funding
