Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and materials science
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop error-correction methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum system performance
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoD grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published record in quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- US citizenship required for government contract projects
