Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software interfaces for 50+ qubit systems
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at major conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
- Secure research grants and partnerships with academic institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and topological quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and parallel computing knowledge
- Ability to secure $500k+ in research funding
