Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published papers in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems or photonic hardware
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models to practical applications
