Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in drug discovery and financial modeling
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry R&D
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation techniques
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complexity theory
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
