Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists to model quantum-many-body systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Partner with industry leaders to implement quantum solutions in real-world systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Proficiency in quantum circuit simulation and algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction techniques
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped-ion systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills for quantum software development
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum computing grants
