Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for proprietary technologies
- Identify emerging quantum computing applications for commercial and scientific domains
- Secure and manage research partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, Grover's) and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent high-impact venues
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit Aqua, PennyLane)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants ($500k+)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
