Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary research teams in developing quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Architect scalable quantum computing infrastructure with 100+ qubit systems
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum error correction protocols
- Pioneer quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum-resistant cryptography solutions
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in topological quantum computing architectures
- Experience leading teams of 10+ research scientists
