Responsibilities
- Design and deploy quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with error correction protocols
- Collaborate with physicists and engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead research initiatives to overcome quantum decoherence and qubit stability challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Document technical specifications and create implementation roadmaps for quantum adoption
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum development communities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
