Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-enhanced neural networks for complex optimization problems
- Develop novel error correction protocols for quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, computer scientists, and domain experts
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Translate theoretical models into scalable prototypes for industry partners
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics with 5+ years post-doc experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum supremacy demonstrations
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical ML frameworks
- Track record of securing federal research grants ($500K+)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction techniques
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
