Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts 24/7 using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) during the night shift.
- Perform real-time analysis of intrusion attempts, malware detections, and suspicious activity.
- Execute incident response procedures for security breaches and system anomalies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve access control issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Document security incidents, root cause analyses, and remediation steps in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to hand over critical incidents and maintain operational continuity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Network Security or SOC (Security Operations Center) analysis.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm, or similar).
- Ability to work independently during the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
