Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and technology forecasting to identify disruptive innovations with 5-10 year impact potential
- Develop strategic frameworks for integrating emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, advanced robotics) into core business operations
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify white-space opportunities in nascent tech sectors
- Partner with product teams to translate technology insights into viable product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members with data-driven impact assessments
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs at technology frontiers
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops to foster cross-functional collaboration on future technology adoption
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy, corporate innovation, or venture capital with focus on emerging tech
- Proven track record of evaluating and commercializing breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI)
- Deep understanding of technology convergence patterns and their socioeconomic implications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Experience developing long-term strategic plans with measurable KPIs for technology adoption
- Strong presentation skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating technology foresight work (published research, patents, or implemented innovations)
