Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics and governance frameworks aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments for AI projects, identifying potential ethical, legal, and societal implications.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate ethical considerations into the AI development lifecycle.
- Monitor and audit AI systems for compliance with ethical standards and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and research in AI ethics and governance, and provide thought leadership to the organization.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, and the public, to represent FutureSafe AI's ethical stance.
- Develop training programs and guidelines to raise awareness of AI ethics across the organization.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI ethics, governance, compliance, or a related role, preferably in the tech industry.
- Deep understanding of ethical principles, AI regulations, and industry standards (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex ethical dilemmas and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing and implementing AI governance frameworks and policies.
- Proven track record of working in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
