Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmap for 2026's AI/quantum convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing prototype solutions for climate tech and biotech
- Establish partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and ETH Zurich research labs
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $20M R&D budget for 2026-focused innovation initiatives
- Author whitepapers on emerging tech trends for industry publications
- Mentor junior researchers in future technology methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D with 5+ years in strategic tech planning
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on AI or quantum systems
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech products
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture capital funding
- Fluency in Python/C++ and proficiency in quantum simulation frameworks
