Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR) to develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating futuristic technology solutions
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for collaborative innovation
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for technology disruption scenarios
- Create thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynote speeches) positioning our company as a future-tech authority
- Manage R&D budget allocation for experimental technology projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership roles
- Proven track record of successfully implementing futuristic technology initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, blockchain, quantum computing, etc.)
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to connect technical concepts to business outcomes
- Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex R&D budgets
